After working with fondant, gumpaste, and frosting we felt like it was time to work with something we haven't work with before. We had always admired isomalt (a natural sugar substitute) sugar work. Well after a couple of burns we finally accomplished our first isomalt sugar gems pictured below!
Now we can really add some glitz and glam to our cakes! We decided to play with the a gems a bit and we created a Hello Kitty with a sugar gem center...
We are very excited to see what more we can create with this amazing sugar. So stay tuned because we are just getting started ;)
